Special Olympics Opening Ceremonies

Miss Teen Arizona United States celebrates the 35th Anniversary of the Arizona Summer Games.  Over 1,300 Special Olympics Arizona athletes will be competing in 56 sporting events for a chance at the gold and the glory at the 2011 Summer Games.

Kitchen On The Street


Kitchen on the Street is turning
hunger into hope...one child at a time.
Hunger is a growing crisis for many Valley children. More than 55 percent of all school-aged youth in our state are enrolled in the Federal free and reduced breakfast and lunch program. When school ends, so do the meals. Kitchen on the Street fills the gap – and the stomachs – of children experiencing hunger and poverty.

VIP’s and professional golfers came together for the "Audi Quattro Cup" at Black Stone Country Club in Peoria to benefit Best Buddies.  The mission of Best Buddies is to establish a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Phoenix Suns Charities, which has donated over $10 million dollars to worthy Arizona organizations in its 23 years years of existence, is the cornerstone of the team’s foundation, making grants to non-profit organizations that serve children and youth in the areas of education, health and human services, the arts, sports and recreation, and rehabilitation.

Veterans "Put Your Heart Into Art"

Arizona United States City and State titleholders were on hand to hand out awards during this incredible art show. Many Veterans benefit from VA recreational therapy with activities such as painting, pottery making, leather craft, creative writing and dance. As such, classes are offered each week in several different modalities where hundreds of Veterans learn how to improve their art techniques. To highlight those efforts the Phoenix VA is looking for artistic Veterans to display their talent in the local VA Creative Arts Festival “Put Your Heart Into Art”.

The Love Walk Revolution

Our Arizona United States Queens are making a difference in changing the world one step at a time.  They lead the first annual 5K Love Walk at the Phoenix Zoo.  All Proceeds benefit Hand of Hope Missions including the Phoenix Dream Center.

Cox Charities "Celebrity Catwalk for a Cause"

Breanna Bregman, Miss Teen Arizona United States, joined her sister queens center stage to support Arizona’s youth.  This year the recipient of the Barrett-Jackson 40th Anniversary Fashion Event, “Catwalk for a Cause”, charity proceeds have been awarded to Cox Charities.  Cox Charities is dedicated to supporting non-profit organizations throughout Arizona that focus primarily on youth development.

Childhelp "Drive the Dream Gala"

“Cowboys, Cars & Stars” was the theme of the Childhelp and Barrett Jackson Annual Gala held at Westworld.  Our Arizona State Queens greeted guest and sold raffle tickets at this celebrity studded event that kicks off the car auction week in Scottsdale.  The proceeds benefit Childhelp which is a leading national non-profit organization dedicated to helping at-risk children.

The Luv Shack Ranch Horse Rescue

Changing the world, one horse, one child at a time.  Because of her love of horses Breanna Bregman was more than happy to volunteer for this non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of horses.  These same horses are part of a therapeutic program for at-risk children.

Governor Jan Brewer at "Hope & A Future"

Arizona United States Queens joined Governor Jan Brewer to celebrate “Hope & A Future” at the Phoenix Zoo.  The ladies welcomed guest, helped children with crafts, assisted Santa and made sure everyone had a good time. Hope & A Future serves abused and neglected children in the Arizona foster care system by helping them reach their potential and achieve their dreams.

Sunshine Acres Children's Home

Breanna Bregman joined the “Desert Mountain High School Varsity Cheer Team” in bringing holiday joy to Sunshine Acres.  The team donated gift baskets and $800 in gift cards to 7 individual homes that house 10 children each.  Sunshine Acres provides a loving, wholesome home for children who are separated from their parents and help them establish long-term relationships with stable parental figures, preparing them for success in adult life.

100 Club Radiothon "Holiday Heroes"

Miss Teen Arizona answered phones and took donations today.  Holiday Heroes is an annual 12 hour – radiothon and charity drive put on by Sports 620 KTAR on-air personalities Gambo & Ash in order to provide financial assistance to families of public safety officers and firefighters who are seriously injured or killed in the line-of-duty, and to provide resources to enhance their safety and welfare.
